Maxis LTE

If you don't already know, Maxis now have LTE / 4G services available (at very limited areas in the Klang Valley). So if you have a LTE capable device such as the iPhone 5 and etc., read on....

Impressive right? Faster than my current Unifi at home. If you have an iPhone 5, iPad 5 or iPad Mini, below tells you how to update your device. I got mine done in a minute.

Nah...it's not really that fast you say.... it's all just on paper only you say.... Well, this is what I got so far. I must admit some other area is not as fast but still 15 Mbps is still fast. Once they have it in Serdang, it's bye bye Unifi....

Soon Lee Coffee Shop Keow Teow Soup

I was told that in PJ especially in the old town, there's  many hidden goodies. I found one such goodie in Soon Lee Coffee Shop at Jalan 1/19, PJ. My colleagues called it Kedai Panas. Why? You'll know why it's called panas the moment you step in. You have the usual stuffs that you can find in a food court i.e.; mixed rice, wantan mee, chicken rice, etc. But what I'm here for is the keow teow soup.

This is the stall...

The keow teow soup

Now what's so great about the keow teow soup? It looks so plain in the pic. One sip and you will agree. Is it the flavourful soup? The hint of the aromatic pork lard? The smooth rice noodle (keow teow)? Or the juicy chicken & meat strips? I would say it's a combination of all those stuffs. Add in some chopped cili paid and hmmm...a great lunch... now if only they can have the place air conditioned.

Makan party !!! Yippee.... what could be better than a bunch of friends having a makan party at home. This weekend Claudia is making curry chicken and I've stocked up on a few bottles of duty free goodies for the bar. I've just finished making my lychee watermelon drink when Claudia and Alex arrived.

Claudia's curry chicken...

The moment the lid is pop open...wow....the aroma quickly fills the room. It smells simply delicious. The spiciness is just right. And the best part is that it comes with lots of potato and we all loves curry potatoes. Sorry, you can't find this at any shops, specially cooked for friends only. :-) After dinner it's cocktails time. Time to practise my bartending skills...

Malaysia Cowboy

Do you know that whiskey + milk is called a cowboy? So I called my Jack Daniels + Vita Milk creation the Malaysia Cowboy. The taste, well.... we don't like it.... hahahaha... Next we tried the new bottle of Midori I got from LCCT recently.

Midori Soya

The Midori blends surprisingly well with the balance soya milk. I use about 1 shot of Midori and add lots of ice. Alex seems to like this.

My creation... LyGo...

My final one for the night (ran out of ingredient), is one I called the LyGo. For this I mix together some lychee in syrup with a shot of mango liqueur and lots of crushed ice. Wish I had some lychee liqueur. But this was received well by my bro.... Hmm.... 3 different cocktails in a night...not a bad night...
